Tracking Transport Details

Transport List View

The transports tab displays all transport services in a table format with the following information:

Service Column

• Service Name: The descriptive name you assigned
• Route: Shows "From location → To location"

Driver Column

Shows the assigned driver's name

Dates Column

• Departure: Actual departure time (if recorded) or estimated time prefixed with "est."
• Arrival: Actual arrival time (if recorded) or estimated time prefixed with "est."

Pets Column

Displays up to 3 pet avatars with their initials. If more than 3 pets are assigned, shows a badge with the additional count (e.g., "+2")

Cost Column

• Total Cost: Combined transport cost plus individual pet costs
• Miles: Distance covered in miles

Searching and Filtering

Use the search bar to find transports by:

• Service name
• Driver name
• Location details

Results update automatically as you type.

Updating Transport Progress

Before Departure

1. Open the transport
2. Verify all details are correct
3. Make any last-minute changes to pets or notes

Recording Departure

1. When the transport leaves, open the transport details
2. Add the current date and time to Actual Departure
3. Save the transport

Recording Arrival

1. When the transport arrives, open the transport details
2. Add the current date and time to Actual Arrival
3. Update the actual miles covered if different from estimate
4. Save the transport

Cost Tracking

The system tracks two types of costs:

Transport Cost

The base cost for the transport service, which might include:

• Fuel costs
• Driver compensation
• Vehicle maintenance allocation

Individual Pet Costs

Additional costs specific to each pet, such as:

• Special handling fees
• Medical equipment transport
• Documentation fees

The total shown in the list is the sum of both cost types.

Transport History

Each transport becomes part of your organization's transport history, contributing to:

• Driver statistics (trips and miles)
• Cost analysis
• Route optimization data

Pagination

When you have many transports:

• The list shows a limited number per page
• Use the pagination controls at the bottom to navigate between pages
• The current page is preserved when you return from viewing details
