Using the Map View

Map Overview

The Map tab provides a geographic visualization of all your transports, helping you:

• See transport routes at a glance
• Identify geographic patterns
• Plan efficient routes
• Coordinate multiple transports

Accessing the Map

1. Navigate to More → Transports
2. Click the Map tab
3. The map loads with your transports displayed

Map Features

Transport Markers

Each transport appears on the map showing:

• Pickup location marker
• Destination marker
• Route line connecting the locations

Interactive Elements

• Click and drag to pan around the map
• Use zoom controls or scroll to zoom in/out
• Click on markers to see transport details

Transport Sidebar

The map includes a sidebar that shows:

• List of all transports
• Quick details for each transport
• Click any transport to highlight it on the map

Editing from the Map

To edit a transport from the map view:

1. Click on a transport marker or sidebar item
2. The transport dialog opens
3. Make your changes
4. Save to update both the transport and map

Map Loading

The map requires:

• Active internet connection
• Browser location permissions (optional, for centering)
• Google Maps API availability

If the map doesn't load, you'll still have access to all transport features through the Drivers and Transports tabs.

Performance Considerations

For organizations with many transports:

• The map initially loads the 25 most recent transports
• Use the Transports tab for complete list access
• Filter by date or status to focus on specific transports

Mobile Map Experience

On mobile devices:

• The map adjusts to fit your screen
• Pinch to zoom in and out
• Tap markers to view transport details
• The sidebar may be hidden by default - look for a toggle button
