What Are Partners?
Partners are other shelters, rescue organizations, or animal welfare groups that your organization collaborates with. These partnerships enable you to:
- Transfer Animals: Move pets between organizations based on capacity and resources
- Expand Reach: Work together to find homes for more animals
- Share Resources: Collaborate on rescue efforts and special needs cases
- Track Relationships: Maintain records of all partner organizations
Partners Dashboard
The Partners dashboard provides a complete view of all your partner organizations and transfer activity.
Accessing the Partners Dashboard
- Log in to your PawPlacer account
- Click on "Partners" in the main navigation menu
- You'll see a list of all partner organizations
Partners Table Features
The main Partners page displays a table with:
- Name: The partner organization's name
- Contact: Primary contact person at the organization
- Email: Contact email address
- Status: Current relationship status (Active, Pending, Inactive, etc.)
- Transfers: Number of pet transfers with this partner
Filtering and Searching
You can filter the partners list by:
- Click the filter dropdown at the top of the table
- Select from these options:
- All: Shows all partner organizations
- Active: Currently active partnerships
- Pending: Partnership applications awaiting review
- Inactive: Partnerships that are no longer active
- Archived: Historical partner records
To search for a specific partner:
- Type the organization name, contact name, or email in the search bar
- The list will automatically filter to show matching results
Quick Actions
Each partner row includes quick action buttons:
- View Profile: Click the eye icon to see complete partner details
- Edit: Update partner information (requires admin permissions)
Managing Partner Records
Adding a New Partner
- From the Partners dashboard, click the "+ Add Partner" button
- Fill out the partner information form:
- Organization name and website
- Physical address
- Main phone number and email
- Primary contact person details
- Add any relevant notes
- Click "Add Partner" to save the record
Viewing Partner Profiles
To see complete details for a partner:
- Click on any partner's name in the table
- The profile page shows:
- Complete organization information
- Primary contact details
- Transfer history
- Documents and agreements
- Notes and special arrangements
Editing Partner Information
- From a partner's profile page, click the "Edit" button
- Update any information as needed
- Click "Update Partner" to save changes
Partner Status Management
Partners can have different statuses:
- Active: Approved partnerships ready for transfers
- Pending: New applications awaiting your review
- Inactive: Partnerships temporarily paused
- Archived: No longer active partnerships
To change a partner's status:
- Open the partner's profile
- Click the status dropdown menu
- Select the new status
- Add a note explaining the change
- Click "Update Status"
Reviewing Partnership Applications
When organizations apply to become partners, you'll need to review their applications:
- Look for partners with "Pending" status
- Click on the partner to view their full application
- Review their organization details and credentials
- You'll see options to:
- Approve: Accept the partnership
- Reject: Decline the partnership
