    Foster List Management

    Navigate, filter, and organize your foster caregiver directory

    Viewing Your Fosters

    Click Fosters in the main menu to see your foster list. The view automatically adapts to your screen size, showing a mobile-optimized layout on smaller devices.

    List Information

    Each foster shows:

    • Name: Foster's name
    • Capacity: Current/maximum pets (e.g., "2/3 pets")
    • Status: Active, pending, suspended, etc.
    • Contact: Email and phone
    • Updated: Last modification date

    Finding Fosters

    Search

    Use the search box to find fosters by name.

    Filter by Status

    Click the status dropdown to show:

    • All: Every foster
    • Active: Can receive assignments
    • Pending: Applications to review
    • On Hold: Temporarily unavailable
    • In Training: Currently learning
    • Do Not Foster: Flagged fosters
    • Inactive: Archived fosters
    • Suspended: Cannot foster

    Sorting

    Click column headers to sort by:

    • Name (A-Z or Z-A)
    • Capacity
    • Last updated

    Quick Actions

    From the list, you can:

    • Click a name to view the full profile
    • Click a foster row to see a quick preview panel with key information
    • Add new fosters with the Add Foster button (top right)

    Understanding Capacity

    The capacity column shows:

    • Green: Has room for more pets
    • Yellow: Near capacity
    • Red: At full capacity

    Format: "current/maximum" (e.g., "1/3 pets")

    Foster Status Indicators

    Different statuses affect what fosters can do:

    • Active: Can receive new assignments
    • Pending: Application needs review
    • Training: Can receive appropriate assignments
    • On Hold: No new assignments
    • Suspended/Do Not Foster: Cannot foster

    Managing Applications

    Pending applications appear with:

    • Yellow "Pending" status badge
    • Review by clicking the foster's name
    • Approve or decline from their profile

    Best Practices

    Keep Your List Clean

    • Archive inactive fosters regularly
    • Process pending applications promptly
    • Update contact information when it changes

    Use Filters Effectively

    • Filter by "Pending" to see applications
    • Filter by "Active" when assigning pets
    • Check "Archived" to find old fosters

    Monitor Capacity

    • Watch for fosters at full capacity
    • Look for available fosters when placing pets
    • Update capacity limits as needed

    Common Questions

    Can't Find a Foster?

    • Check if they're archived
    • Try searching by partial name
    • Clear any active filters

    Need to Export Data?

    Contact your administrator for data exports. The system doesn't currently support direct exports from the list view.

    Dual Role Fosters

    Fosters who are also adopters will show a yellow banner when you view their profile. The list doesn't indicate dual roles.
