    Adoption History

Track and review pet adoption history and adopter relationships

    Understanding Adoption History

Adoption history in PawPlacer refers to the complete record of:

    • Which pets an adopter has shown interest in
    • Which pets they've successfully adopted
    • The timeline of adoption events
    • Related details like returns or multiple adoptions

This history is accessible from both the pet's perspective and the adopter's perspective.

If a pet is returned after adoption:

    1. The return is documented in the pet's history
    2. Both the return date and reason are recorded
    3. The pet's status changes back to "Available" or another appropriate status
    4. The previous adoption record is maintained for reference
