On 8 December 2023, we had reports of a dog heard crying from a river. The reporter saw him being washed downstream and tried her hardest to get him out but couldn't. She monitored him while calling us for help. By the time we got there he had managed to climb onto the bank but was in severe distress. We were concerned he may have Rabies, as his aggressive behaviour seemed symptomatic, but time proved otherwise. We believe he either fell or was thrown in and has sustained a head trauma. There was no fracture on his skull luckily so over time, and with therapy, he fully recovered and developed into a very happy, well-adjusted bundle of energy! If there's mayhem going on, you can be sure Raffi is in the middle of it somewhere!
