Someone had intentionally skewered Iron with a steel rod. By the time we found out about him, he had been lying there for a couple of days. The rod was removed, along with all the ticks and fleas he was covered with. IronWe tried to leash train him � but didn't get very far with that! He absolutely hated it, but is more than content to roam around with his buddies in "The Unsociables" such as Hairy and Brave. Like many of the strays we rescue, he took a few months to settle and become sociable. Now he is super friendly to staff at the Sanctuary but still a little wary of strangers who visit. He absolutely loves puppies! When we have new puppies he likes to play very gently with them.
