Maddie was rescued in June 2020 by one of our foster carers Mike. They had been dumped in a garbage area and would not likely have survived. There were originally five which we named Maisy, Mica, Mitch, Maddie and Miley. Sadly, 3 of the puppies caught Parvo, a common virus which is very difficult to eradicate. Mitch and Mica died, and Maddie barely survived. Maisy and Miley were more fortunate. Our new puppy run was playing its part in keeping potentially vulnerable puppies in an area we can easily disinfect and keep the incidence of Parvo down. Like her siblings, Maddie was very small and malnourished when she was rescued. It took some time for her to begin to gain weight. Maddie gets on well with her other siblings and loves to cuddle up with them from time to time. This is the three of them when they were younger cuddled up together. Maddie is really friendly and lively and would make a wonderful adoptee.
