During the rainy season here (July - September), stray dogs about to give birth find the safest places to crawl away to. Juliette crawled in to a drainage system in Valencia, and her and her 7 puppies were at severe risk of drowning in flood waters. Luckily we were able to make space for her by moving patients around so she had a kennel big enough for her and her babies. Despite the desperate circumstances of their birth, all seven have so far survived. Janos is old enough to be adopted, and we hope it's not long before they get a second chance at life in a new home.
