PawPlacer simplifies the process of adding and managing adopters, ensuring you can track each adoption from initial interest to final approval. This guide will walk you through how to effectively use the adopter management feature:

Steps to Add an Adopter

1. Navigate to the Adopters Section

  • Option 1: Click on the 'Adopters' tab in the main menu to view all adopters. Then click the '+ Add Adopter' button to begin creating a new adopter profile.
  • Option 2: Click the '+' in the sidebar and select 'Add Adopter' to go directly to the 'Add Adopter' page.

2. Enter Adopter Details

  • Adopter Information: Fill in details such as full name, email, phone number, and age.
  • Home Information: Provide the address, city, state, and zip code.
  • Co-applicant and Employment: Add information about a co-applicant and employment if applicable.

3. Select Pets of Interest

  • Choosing Pets: Use the searchable dropdown list of pets on the left to select those the adopter is interested in.

4. Co-Applicant and Additional Information

  • Co-Applicant Information: Complete this section if there's a co-applicant involved.
  • Additional Information: Use this section for any other relevant details or notes.

5. Submitting the Form

  • Review: Double-check all entered information for accuracy.
  • Submit: Click the 'Submit' button to save the new adopter profile.

Once you create an adopter profile and assign a pet, the adopter will appear on the adoption page. You can then proceed with the adoption process. Upon completing the adoption, the process is marked as complete, and the pet is marked as adopted.
